Seeing and Being Seen: Conversation | William Yang & Benjamin Law

Join Benjamin Law (writer and broadcaster) and mentor artist William Yang on Saturday, 21 August for a conversation about their lives – reflecting on what it’s like to tell stories for a living and their shared experiences of growing up Chinese-Australian and gay. The conversation will consider generational differences alongside discussing Yang’s current exhibition Seeing and Being Seen.

Yang’s work spans a five-decade career, exploring long-form portraits of Australian celebrity culture, marginalised identity and self-reflection. This event is free and registrations are essential. Book now.

The event will be recorded and made available on QAGOMA YouTube. Read more about ‘Seeing & Being Seen’ on the QAGOMA Blog.
