John Feely

John Feely’s work has been exhibited internationally in festivals and galleries including the Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art as part of Organ Vida and the Indian Photo Festival, Hyderabad, India. He is a recipient of the Canon SUWP grant, was named one of Lens Culture’s top 25 Emerging photographers and Australian Emerging Photographer of the year.

He studied photography and graphic design (2011) at the Queensland College of Art (Griffith University) and has an Applied Science Degree from the University of Queensland (2001).

He produces work for editorial, advertising and fashion clients including CNN, It’s Nice That, NAB, LG and Aje. Where possible John blurs the lines between projects and commissions, an example of this is the documentary series he created for Australian fashion label Aje.

John is currently collaborating with communities and organisations in outback Australia that challenge the role of subject and author and engage new voices in visual storytelling. He independently mentors photographers from around the world and is a guest mentor for the MA program at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, Australia. John also facilitates workshops in Asia and Australia.
