Sophie Gabrielle
Sophie Gabrielle is a Melbourne based contemporary photographer and curator. Since 2015 her work has been exhibited in Australia, Malaysia, The Netherlands, France, Germany, SouthKorea, the USA and the UK. She is a Foam Talent recipient (2018) and a finalist for the Lensculture Emerging Talent Awards (2016).
Through her fine art practice, Sophie channels her interest in science, psychology and the archive to create works that tell poetic stories of her own life. She is also a board member of Good Moon Rising, a non-profit creative collective that creates safe spaces for gender diverse artists and musicians to be celebrated in Melbourne. She is currently studying for her masters in arts management at the Royal Melbourne Institute of technology.
