Cambodia Photography Workshop

Open for expressions of interest

Photo Collective is excited to open expressions of interest for our international photographic workshop taking place during April, 2025 in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Join the Photo Collective team on a unique program designed to workshop your photography and ideas while exploring Siem Reap and the beautiful Khmer culture. Through ten years of collaboration with our local partners, we have designed a tour which takes you away from Siem Reap’s tourist scene and into a genuine cultural exchange where slow and considered approaches to photography are encouraged. During the week-long program, participants have the opportunity to workshop new or existing projects. This is carried out through both personalised and group activities. Regardless of whether you are working on a project or are simply interested in a fun travel experience where you get to improve your photography, we would love to hear from you.

We approach our workshop from a place of respect and connection, aiming to facilitate new ways of thinking about photography. This trip is for those seeking an experience which differs from a normal photographic tour by not only excelling your photography but considering ethical frameworks through cultural exchange.

Part of what makes our tour so special is the diversity we find in our participants. We welcome people from all skill levels and backgrounds to join us in participating and contributing to the experience.

Participants can expect comfortable and central accomodation with all suitable amenities. The Photo Collective team is there to not only work with you on your ideas but also provide logistics, translators and access so you are able to find your own unique experience in Siem Reap. At times the workshop can be more intensive (you will likely find yourself on the back of a motorbike going down some bumpy roads) but this is balanced with time allocated for personal exploration, down time and of course the opportunity to debrief and discuss your projects by the pool. We are here to personalise the workshop to accomodate your needs and abilities. This might include alternate ways to travel, dietary requirements and as much or little technical assistance you might require.
