Nicholas Walton-Healey

Nicholas Walton-Healey is an Australian freelance photographer celebrating defiant expressions of freedom. Nicholas arrived at photography through the literary arts; a relationship culminating in his first book Land Before Lines (Hunter Publishers, 2014). He has since spent much of his time in The Northern Territory, developing photographic projects with two Indigenous communities in Darwin – Milgarri and 15 Mile – and documenting the development of Tarntipi Bush Camp on the Tiwi islands. In 2023, Nicholas exhibited Salt Frames, a collection of seascapes made along the Nightcliff Beach, in the Gallery of The Library at The Dock.
