Teva Cosic

Teva Cosic (b.1994) is an artist based between Naarm/Melbourne and Gimuy/Cairns.

Her research and practise explore the complex tensions of family and cultural history as they intersect with boarder notions of identity, migration and belonging. Working within the realm of the poetic and affective, her practise presses against traditional documentary frameworks, spilling over into a speculative space where truth and fiction oscillate.

She is interested in photography as a social practise that opens up new ways of meaning making as well as its ultimate failure to capture the complexities of our human experience.
