PHOTO Lab is a free, online and in person professional development opportunity for emerging photographers and recent graduates programmed and delivered in partnership with Magnum Photos.
PHOTO Lab is aimed at preparing emerging photographers for international professional practice through a comprehensive series of guided talks and workshops by industry specialists. Working in small groups, participants will have access to national and international curators, artists and educators at the forefront of photography from diverse institutions, experience and backgrounds.
The workshop focuses on three key areas of study for photographers working internationally today: Foundations, Exhibiting and Book publishing. Each week over a five-week period, participants will attend lectures and workshops with a range of international photographers and professionals. Participants will have the opportunity of a portfolio review, and then be given the time to revise the work again following this intensive and re-edit images and text for inclusion on the Magnum Photos website and Magnum Learn social media channels.
Applications close Friday April 1st, 5pm AEST.
